How to conduct a successful conference call?
Before the call:
- Advise participants of the date, time, dial in number, access
code and planned duration of the call.
- Prepare an Agenda so you will have a structured meeting
- Send all printed materials to participants or share your material
online using Conferencing Link Webconferencing Lite
& Pro, so you and your colleagues can share
files and work on presentations and documents during the call.
- Need to listen to you conference call at a later date or provide
a recording to those unable to attend your live conference? Press
*4 recording feature at the beginning of the call so you can keep
a record of your conference.
- Always call in from a quiet location
During the Call:
- Ask participants to speak clearly, identify themselves before
speaking
- Direct questions/comments to specific individuals or locations.
- Use the "Mute" button on your phone when you are
not talking to prevent background noise from disrupting the meeting
or use the *6 function to mute and un-mute your phone.
- Avoid putting phones on hold. "Hold music" could
disrupt the conference.
- Use the ## feature to disconnect all lines and properly end
the call.
